Universe at War hands on
So far playing through the first five missions of the new RTS for the xbox 360. So far I am liking how the controls are used in this game they are mapped very well so its not to tough for me to move from unit to unit and be able to move them with ease. The trigger and the bumpers are used mainly for your basic functions. All you do is push it an either a set of list or a map pulls up for you to use. Its prolly the first game for the console RTS that I can recommend for people who enjoy RTS stuff. While of course a keyboard and mouse is still the best, they do a great job of paving the way for future games to use the controller well. They also did a cool function for the selecting of units you can hold down A and a paintbrush sort of method is used to select mass unints and you can use the D-Pad to select them individually, which is a plus. While visuals are not the best the game still looks good, with some minor slow-down when multiple enemies or explosions occur. Overall without spoiling whats going on to much, you play as the the Novus who is battling against the Heirarchy who are on earth trying to exsponge its resources. Thus doing so an ancient race known as the musari will arise and help as well in the fight. There is no human campaign since they join with the other factions to fight them. Overall im enjoying the game and expect a full final review for this in the next week or so.
Condemned 2 review
Condemned 2 is the sequal to the first game condemned. We all know that and we all know it was the csi/horror launch game for the 360. Well years have gone by and the people at SEGA/Monolith have went back to the gritty series to make it darker and more of a mind fuck then before. With the sequal I feel that they have accomplished this. The game has a creepy eerie atmosphere that can scare the shit out of you if you play with all the lights off and the sound way up. You play as Ethan Thomas again who has spiraled down from the respected person he was for the first game. He seems to have went on a drung and alcohol bender that makes him see and act like a lunatic. You again are on the hunt for a killer on the loose who is making all the bums and drug addicts go crazy and want to beat the fuck out of anything and anyone. The game is again in the first person with the trigger buttons being you left and right arm and the stick click in is your kick. You still use weapons as well to beat down your foes, but they added more gunplay this time around making it a FPS for a few parts of the game. What they did really well this time is the scare factor and the tension level for this game. Majority of the game keeps you on the edge of your seat and weary of turning that next corner. But what lacks is that the game all of a sudden just loses that feeling and makes it more of a FPS with a slower pace. This is where the game starts to lack in my opinion and slowly works its way away from the high tension feeling I had at the beginning of the game. While its still a good game the last few chapters kind of lack and feel a little disappointing when your playing them. As for the online this is a game that did not need it and is not a selling point for this game, dont waste your time with it more than maybe a few times to try and see how bad it is.

Viking Hands-on
This is a game that I read up on in one of the previous issues of game informer. It didnt look bad, just wasnt something I was super excited about playing. Well I have played about 5 or 6 hours of this game and all I can say is mediocre. If you have played the conan game that just released a little while back you have played viking. Minus the nudity and the overdun gore factor this is essentially the same game. Its an action title that puts you in the shoes of a viking who apparently has died and was ressurected by some sort of force. So you now must battle against the rebelling faction who threatens your viking life. while these are not monsters they are a faction who try to look like undead or a dark force. There isnt a whole lot of variety in this game you can purchase different types of throwing weapons as well as powerups and new moves. The enemy has like 4 different types of baddies who look all the same for each of its classes. speaking of looking alike the surroundings while either dark or light will look kinda blah and seems like this should of been a later xbox game and not a 360 game. The main character looks ok but is way too shiny and permanetly has blood on his sword and axe even when he is done with his slaughter. So thus far nothing new hear for this game but if you enjoyed the conan game this is prolly right up your alley.

Rainbow six: vegas 2 review
If it isnt broke, dont fix it. This seems to be the motto when developer Ubisoft went into making the sequel to the biggest FPS/tactical game of 2006. Well its now 2008 a good 2 years after that title hit and were are blessed with another title for the clancy franchise. First things first this is in my opinion a fan serviced game. They took into consideration as to what the fans wanted for there next game and they went with that. So all the things implemented into the game were to basically fix what was wrong with the last one. There is also a problem with this. While it is a whole new game with new levels and extras, the game feels like an expansion pack more than a new title for the series. Graphically they have tweaked a few things but nothing new has been brought to the table here. Your AI companions still acts like its a renegade or a coward when your playing with them. The enemy AI while can be very smart can also get stuck in walls and will completly miss you as you walk right in front of them. There is also a problem with enemies poping in late and spawning in front of you or next to you. I noticed this on the second act a lot. But these are minor complaints for the game. Your suppose to play with friends and thats what makes the game fun. You and your buddies dishing out orders and stuff to one another is a blast and it makes the game more enjoyable. There are a few ways you and your buddies can play. You have single player/co-op campaign which is your basic for the game almost like your practice ground for the controls and environments. Then you have terrorist hunt which is my favorite part of the game, you and your buddies can take on up to around 30-40 terrorist and you need to hunt them down and kill them to complete the mission. The biggest complaint with this is the enemy will spawn up next to you sometimes here as well and its annoying to know your doing good then an AI pops next to you and blows you away when your clearly safe. But again a small complaint. Lastly is online multiplayer with a number of modes to do a choose from. Team death match, assualt and defend, death match etc. They also put you with people of your skill level or close to it as possible which helps so you dont just get creamed everytime you log on to play. All of the above elements can be played single or co-op online with friends. The biggest addition to the series though was the new ranking system. It now lets you rank up using any of the 3 modes, story, terrorist hunt or multiplayer. This makes it easier to level up and everyone has a chance to be soemwhat equal. But the best is that anything you unlock in any part of the game can be used at any part of the game, so all your stuff is usable period unless restrictions are put into place. Visually the game looks as good as the previous title with soem fixes on some of the bugs int he first game, same with the sound it sounds good and all the explosions/gunplay sound spot on. Overall this is a fun title to play but if you werent a fan of the first game this is the same old stuff so it may not be your cup of tea. But for fans of the series its a must to pick up and play. While it may not be the next level up you may have wanted there is enough fan service here to keep you alive until the next rainbow six game comes out.
**There is also a glitch in the game, where if you played the first one you get bonus XP. But this causes you to skip over a few levels of rank and lose an achievement. Ubi said they are working on soemthing to fix this so lets hope they get soemthing fixed for us whore out there.**
Verdict - B+

Bully Review
Well if you have played bully on the ps2 youve played bully on the 360 thus far its the exact same game. It does look more polished but thats about it. There have been a ton of problems with this game thus far and I hope they are fixed soon with an update. Bugs galore as well as the game frooze on me twice and I had to redo a few missions over and over. Also the voices dont match up with the characters sometimes and it looks really odd. There have been other people with this problem and its now on MAXCONSOLE with people screaming that XB and rockstar make a patch before this gets worse. Those are minor issues which I hope will be fixed the only big issue I have with this game is the load times. There were a few that took like 2-3 min or so to load the scene. I dont remember that on the ps2 at all but then again that was awhile ago. But yes its the same game so if you liked the ps2 one here it is again with achievements to increase your score. As well as some other bonus things and some fixes that were wrong with the ps2 version. Im not very far in the game since it is a big game but im feeling tis just liek the previous one so no real reason to hurry. But if you got any questions concerning the game let me know.
Solid B for this title, nothing new as of yet so basic port.
the game is very good. its a school version of GTA, just no hard violence. You do missions and such thus unlocking more places to go and things to do. I can check the wii version if you want but i would say go for a controler based game on this one simply cause the wii would prob have some lame motion stuff that wont work or makes the game dull. Give me abit if you want it though ill try it.
New Content:
* New Content: 8 new missions, 4 new classes, hilarious new characters, added two-player mode, new un-lockables, new rewards and achievements.
* Variety: With 82 missions, 45 lessons, loads of mini games and collectibles, Bully provides over 30 hours of entertainment.
* Characters: Over 100 voiced characters to socially interact with among several social groups: jocks, nerds, preppies, greasers, teachers, townies, carnies and of course girls.
* Choice: You're in charge. Decide whether you have a positive or negative effect when interacting or accepting missions
* you can say hello to fellow classmates or deliver mean wedgies.
This is whats in the wii version only.
So my final on bully is that its a great game with some flaws that can piss you off. And piss you off it shall. All of these are maybe's. Sometimes it happens sometimes it wont show up at all. Bad glitches, off audio and constant freezing are what plaques you in the game. But nothing else is wrong with it, its still an amazing game with an addition of multiplayer! Yean no one on it to try it out so I will fill in later.
Gameplay/Game: B
Audio/Video: C
Lenght: A
Bonus: B
overall: B
So deff. a good game just not one that bring a new thing to the table. If you never played bully I say take it home and play the hell out of it. But for those that finished it it the same game with some other things thrown in. So rent it for sure.

Army of Two Review
So Army of two on of my most anticipated games of 2007 has finally hit this week. This is a 3rd person co-operative game and when I say co-op I mean it. This is a game geared 100% for you and a buddy to be playing. But not everyone can play with someone all the time so the AI person will be your buddy or enemy in the game. You play as two mercenaries for hire named Salem and Rios. Both of these are badass military guys who know there shit and know how to execute it well. From the start you can shoose to play as either salem or rios as far as I know it doesnt matter who you pick since both control the same. The difference is in apperance and voice it looks like. I will walk you through the single player portion of this since no one really has this game yet. The AI is not as bad as I thought it be. Since I pretty much control the AI with the D-pad he does what I tell him. The only complaint is that since he's not a real person he wont always do the right thing. Like say were in a firefight and there are 4 guys in fron of us he wont always fire upon the closest guy or the guy shooting at the time. He will shoot at one of them almost to suppress fire for you to get them. Not that thats bad, its just when there is more guys its tougher since he doesnt always shoot well. Same for when you take off doors and use them as shields. Yes, you can rip off car doors and pick up other objects via riot shields or doors and use them while the AI follows shooting up fools. Unless he just doesnt shoot and the AI owns you. Thats preety much the only complaint I have against this game is the AI isnt the best. But thats not who you play this with. You play with a buddy. The controls themselves are pretty tight, they remind me of a lot of GEARS. The way you move and take cover are pretty close to gears as well as with the shooting. You can crouch and un as well as slide into cover wth the touch of a button. you have 3 weapons at your disposal right from the start which you can upgrade as well as buy new and better weapons from arms dealers. You have a primary (machine gun), secondary (sidearm handgun) and a special (sniper/rocket launcher) weapon as well as grenades to use to flush out enemies and destroy turrets. But thats not all you have a variety of mask to buy and wear as well as 3 types of armor (light, meadium, heavy). This is a pretty custom heavy game so you have to remember to customize your weapons as well as restock on some other items. I ran out of grenades quick so I try to save them, as well as use handgun when I can to save machine gun rounds. But the enemies will drop bags full of ammo you can pick up to replenish your own stash so your not always worrying about bullets just keep it in mind. visually the game looks good from the cutscenes to the ingame I havnt seen any type of mess up or clipping as of today, so im pretty impressed by what EA has done with there extra time with this game. So if your lookign for a great co-op game that ahs tons of guns and tons of killing AOT is right up your alley.
**multiplayer is not working as of yet since no one is online witht he game, but tonight ill try since more people were able to pick it up today since yesterday no one got this game.
so far im giving this game a B+, 6 missions is not very much for a game like this so lets hope multiplayer will raise this abit since DLC is on the way.
Ok so final on ARMY OF TWO for you guys. The wrap up is this is a decent game and the reviews have said that. mainly getting about 7-9 in the scoring range. The combat is cool and the interactivity within the game is amazing just liek the visuals. I like the way the game look and feels. It just a fun co-op game that seems to be popular but doesnt seem to be AD worthy popular. So its roughly 7-9 hours depending on diffuculty add a few hours more for hardest diff. Its 6 missions which some you willw ant to replay over cause there that good I think. Its basically as longer than Gears with a multiplayer as well. Multiplayer is diff. No deathmatch you do 3 diff. modes which you and a buddy compete against 2 others for merc money. You do events to gain cash and kill everyone. Its a diff. type of multiplayer and one that is actually kind of fun and I hear DLC is on the way very very soon. That makes me happy EA is up for supporting this game.

So if you like the gears style of combat and want a new 3rd person action shooter then check this one out and wiill glady play mercs with you online whenever, just ask me. It should be easy to rent this weekend so go for it and try it out, I say its worth a purchase simply for some of the cool factor this game offers.

God of War: Chains of Olympus review
So this game is amazing, I dont have to tell you that its worth buying since most of us have played a GOW game before. My biggest concern is that if you wait about oh what 2 or 3 months you will be able to get this on the ps2 where the controls will be a hell of a lot nicer but the visuals wont be much better. So if you own a psp and got the cash then yes I say get it, but dont run and buy a psp for this since the trend goes if it sells on psp we can double it on ps2. Hence ratchet and clank, silent hill, syphon filter and probably FF VII Crisis Core. So yes this game is good and looks great but its just one of those games id rather have on the ps2 or PSN. Just dont think im bashing this game at all im not. Just saying that it seems to be a trend of sony's and they will try to push every ounce of a game out on the market. Plus they release them at a $20 price tag.
Review:ok finished it and stuff. The game overall is very good. But for a $40 price tag that will last you maybe a day of you play all day like I did, not worth owning since no reason to play again all there is is more difficult modes thats it. Unless theres a special ending for beating the game on god mode but thats why we have youtube lol. So yes its a good game but not worth the price tag for the little amount of content it offers.
Gameplay/Game: A+
Audio/Video: A+
Lenght: D
Bonus: D
overall: C+
so not somethign you need to get unless you really want to play it today. I say wait and get it used.
